Reassembly of the Essen Log Cabin

Sealed bids for REASSEMBLY OF THE ESSEN LOG CABIN will be received by the City of Wildwood, Department of Planning and Parks, 16860 Main Street, Wildwood, Missouri, 63040, until 10:30 A.M. CST, on TUESDAY, JANUARY 28, 2025, in the Community Room at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  The 10:30 A.M. CST cutoff time for acceptance of sealed bid documents is determined by the Department of Planning and Parks, not that of the bidder.

The Scope of Work includes the reassembly of a historic log cabin that was dissembled without proper documentation, but all recovered logs have been marked by a preservationist architect, and will be located within the City’s new Village Green. The project will include all the necessary grading and other site preparation work, as needed and defined therein as well.

Electronic copies of the Bid Package are available beginning on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 , after 1:00 P.M. CST, and can be previewed or made available  electronically by visiting the City’s website ( www.cityofwildwood.com ) or in hard copy from the City of Wildwood, at Wildwood City Hall (receptionist desk), 16860 Main Street, Wildwood, Missouri 63040, upon request.

*A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for Friday, December 20, 2024 , from 9:00 a.m. to noon.  It will begin with a Q&A in the Community Room of City Hall and conclude with a tour to the reconstruction site, followed by review of the stored materials for the project.
