INVITATION TO BID

Owensboro Municipal Utilities will receive sealed bids until 2:00 P.M. (CST) on February

20, 2026 (prevailing time) at which time bids will be opened and read aloud for the:

BID No. 26-02-005

RINALDO RD JACK AND BORE PROJECT

Owensboro Municipal Utilities (OMU), a municipal power and water distributor, is

requesting bids for labor and equipment only for installation of conduit size 18” (inch)

Ductile, by jack & bore for a 12” PVC water main. Scope includes boring under one section

of CSX railroad along the north side of Rinaldo Road. Approximately 120 (feet) total boring

length.

Contractor will be responsible for installing end seals, poly casing spacers and rough

dress-up of site upon completion. Contractor will also be responsible for installing a

copper tracer wire and testing of section.

OMU will inspect and conduct a pressure test for 2 hours at 100lbs (PSI) and will fill pipe

with water during pressure test. Contractor shall be responsible for repairing any leaks

found during test.

Contractor will not be responsible for any right of way, easements or permits. OMU will

coordinate marking 10’ easement to represent each section location. Contractor shall be

responsible for boring pipe within allotted easement.

A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will occur at the OMU Transmission and Distribution

(T&D) Building located at 2070 Tamarack Road, Owensboro, KY 42301 on Wednesday,

February 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST) followed by a visit to the

job/project site to walk the project and answer any further questions. Any interested

Bidders MUST attend this pre-bid meeting AND job site visit to be able to submit a

bid.

Following award and before commencement of work, a formal agreement shall be

executed by OMU and the Contractor whose bid is selected for award, with terms and

conditions agreeable to OMU (the “Contract” or “resulting Contract”).
