Description
Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing Cable from Solifos AG as a sole source because of the uniqueness (design, capability, nature) of the goods as well as its ability to meet compatibility requirements of an existing line of equipment and based on the supplier being the single provider of the goods and/or services. Cable must provide the following characteristics: 1)loss of under 1 db/km, and no identifiable point losses of greater than 0.1 db, 2)no electrically conductive breaks in the outer jacket, 3) long-term strength maintaining optical specifications exceeding 900N, 4)less than 3.9 mm in diameter, 5)have 4 multi-mode bend tolerant fibers, 6)weigh less than 30 kg/km, and 7)compatibility with existing cable and systems in use at OSU. An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03-010. Section 5.17 no later than the closing date indicated on the website.
