Home Rehabilitation and Repair Assistance Program
2026–2028
The City-funded Home Rehabilitation and Repair Assistance Program (RRAP) funds housing
improvement projects to benefit low- and moderate-income households. RRAP is an
efficient and responsive program with the goal of maintaining safe and habitable housing
stock within the city. RRAP provides grants to eligible non-profit organizations that will
perform eligible housing rehabilitation and repair projects to accomplish this goal.
The City is seeking applications from eligible non-profit organizations (“Grantees”) to review
homeowner applications for RRAP funds and facilitate eligible projects. Grantees must be a
501(c)(3) registered in the State of Kansas. Grantees must meet the qualifications listed in
the application. More information on the RRAP program specifics can be found in the Home
Rehabilitation and Repair Assistance Program Guide.
This NOFA solicits a Grantee to administer RRAP for a three-year period, with annual review
and approval of the program funding allocation by the City Commission.
The Planning and Development Department will accept online applications from Monday,
February9, through Friday, February 20, 2026.
It is anticipated that $150,000 will be allocated to RRAP in 2026. The City Commission must
approve the grant award, currently scheduled for its March 3, 2026, meeting.
Any questions regarding the RRAP may be directed to the Planning and Development
Department at 785-587-2412 or planning@manhattanks.gov.
