Solicitation Description:
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) invites bids for the supply and delivery of components for the Wayside Intrusion Detection Warning (IDW) system on Silver Line Phase II. Materials will replace existing components to improve reliability and ensure compliance with WMATA Automatic Train Control (ATC) standards. Installation will be performed by WMATA. Equivalent (or equal) products may be offered but must meet all technical specifications and receive formal WMATA approval. PRICING & LINE ITEMS: Bidders may submit pricing for any or all line items listed in the price schedule. Those capable of supplying all items are encouraged to bid on the entire schedule; however, bidders may also quote only the specific line items they can supply. Bids that omit certain line items will still be considered for evaluation and potential award on the items priced, provided all other IFB requirements are met. AWARD: WMATA intends to make one or more awards by line item to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s) whose bids meet all IFB requirements, including compliance with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA). Evaluation and award will be based on the unit prices submitted for each line item. BUILD AMERICA, BUY AMERICA ACT CERTIFICATIONS (REPS & CERTS, SECTION 21): Bidders must be fully compliant with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA). The certification under Section 21 of the Representations and Certifications must be completed, signed, and the appropriate compliance box checked. NOTE: If a bidder fails to complete the certification properly, or indicates they are not compliant with BABA, the bid will be deemed non-responsive and ineligible for award. Your bid must be received via WMATA Supplier Portal with all required submittals as stated below in the IFB, no later than 04:00 PM, Oct 13, 2025.
