Pre-Bid Meeting Info: There is a pre-bid conference for bidders, which is scheduled for 10:00 AM, December 17th, 2024 at the Water Treatment Plant, 50 River Ridge Ct, Burnsville, MN 55337. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory, but interested bidders are encouraged to attend.

Description: For the making of the following described local improvements, said proposal for the furnishing of all labor and materials for the construction, complete in place of the following approximate quantities:

1.         Rehabilitations of Wells No. 1 and No. 2
  1. Removal and replacement of existing Well No. 1 and No. 2 pumps. Rehabilitate instead of replacement, if able
  2. Removal and replacement of existing Well No. 1 and No. 2 motors. Rehabilitate instead of replacement, if able
  3. Installation of new well pumps and motors
  4. Video Inspection of wells, as needed
  5. Rehabilitation of wells by brushing and bailing of debris, as needed
  6. Rehabilitating equipment instead of furnishing new, as needed
  7. Process work at well houses, including inspection of existing check valve and rehabilitation if required
  8. New Air/Vac Valves for both Well No. 1 and No. 2
  9. Prep and paint walls, floors, and ceilings at both Well No. 1 and No. 2 well houses
  10. Demo existing control panel at Well No. 1 and replace with new control panel based on selected quote

For this project we will accept only online electronic bids through QuestCDN. Instructions for online bidding are included in the Project Specifications. For electronic bids, electronic bid bonds will also be accepted through Surety 2000 using contract #9450459. The bid bonds must be payable to the City of Burnsville in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond.

The City of Burnsville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.

All bid values provided for Schedule C in the 00 41 00 - Statement of Estimate Quantities Specification shall be valid for a minimum of 180 days.

Immediately following expiration of the time for receiving bids, two City staff or agents will publicly view bids in the City Hall. The Council will consider such bids in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
