BID NOTICE: 5,000 TONS OF WASHED SAND

GENERAL BID SPECIFICATIONS
City of Minot, ND 58701
The City of Minot is exempt from state and federal excise and sales taxes and no
amount for such taxes are to be included in the bid price.
The City Council reserves to itself the right to reject any or all bids and to award
the contract as it deems necessary and for the best interest of the City of Minot.
Delivery of materials, supplies and services contained in the bid shall be made to
the City of Minot's stockpiles and the price shall be FOB, Minot, North Dakota.
The delivery date shall be specified on the bid.

Bids will be opened in the office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 10 3rd Ave. S.W.,
Minot, North Dakota at 11:00 o'clock a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026. Bids
received after this time will be returned, unopened, to the bidder. Bidders are
invited to be present at the opening of the bids.

5000 Tons of Washed Sand
1) 5000 tons of clean, sharp sand.
2) a) Supplier to deliver sand to the Public Works Building, 1025
31st St. SE, Minot, ND.
b) Deliveries will be on demand with a 250-ton minimum.
3) Salt will be furnished by others.
4) Delivery to start after bid approval.
5) Minimum gradation shall be as follows:
Sieve Size Percent Passing
3/8" 100%
#4 95 - 100%
#16 45 - 80%
#200 0 - 5%
6) Material not meeting the above gradations when tested will be cause for
rejection of that lot delivered.
7) Gradation of material proposed must be submitted with the bid proposal.
8) Quote for unit price and deliveries shall cover 1 September, 2026 to 31
August 2027.
NOTE: Change order consideration will be given for increases in unit cost due to
tariff or fuel price increases.
