900 Tons of De-Icing Salt
The City of Minot is requesting quotations for approximately 900 tons of deicing salt. In
order to be considered quotations shall be submitted to the office of the City Clerk, 10 3rd Ave.
S.W., Minot, North Dakota, by Monday, September 21, 2026 no later than 11:00 AM. Bids
received after this time will be returned, unopened, to the bidder. Bidders are invited to
be present at the opening of the bids. The quotation envelope shall be clearly marked
"Quotation for De-Icing Salt" Project #4230.
The City of Minot is exempt from state and federal excise and sales taxes and no
amount for such taxes are to be included in the bid price.
The City Council reserves, to itself, the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract
as it deems necessary and in the best interest of the City of Minot.
De-Icing Salt Specifications:
1) De-Icing salt in approximately 25-ton truckload lots to be delivered on
demand.
2) DeliverytostockpileatPublicWorksBuildingat102531St.SE,Minot,ND.
3) Plain salt, 100% passing No. 4 sieve.
4) Delivery to start after quote approval.
5) Deliveries to be on demand with a 25 ton minimum.
6) Quote for unit price and deliveries shall cover 1 September, 2026 to 31
August 2027.
NOTE: Change order consideration will be given for increases in unit cost due to tariff or
fuel price increases.

sales tax or other applicable taxes. The tax exempt number is E4351.

behalf of any undisclosed person, firm or corporation and is not submitted in conformity with
anyagreementorrulesofanygroup,association,organizationorcorporation;b)thathehasnot
directlyorindirectlyinducedorsolicitedanyotherquotertoputinfalseorshambid;c)thathe
hasnotsolicitedorinducedanyperson,firmorcorporationtorefrainfromquoting;andd)that
he has not sought by collusion or otherwise to obtain for himself any advantage over any other
