Solicitation Description:
Franconia-Springfield Station has a dry sprinkler system that protects an overhead pedestrian bridge connecting the Parking Garage with the Mezzanine Level. The dry pipe valve is located in the Sprinkler Room, Room # 006, that is accessible through the Men¿s Restroom, Room # 002, at ground level. The existing valve is a 4¿ Reliable Sprinkler Model EX. Refer to the attached product data sheet. The valve has been non-operational for an extended period of time. The valve is currently left open, allowing water to fill the sprinkler piping. This has led to issues during the colder season with pipe freezing and bursting requiring emergency repair
