Solicitation Description:

The Department of Public Safety is requesting bids for three units from the two FBI NDIS

approved systems for DNA profile generation and analysis. One is the Applied Biosystems

RapidHIT ID system, and the other is the ANDE Rapid DNA System. Both systems will

facilitate Crime Laboratory operations in Texas. DPS reserves the right to award this

solicitation to multiple vendors. In addition, DPS reserves the right to procure additional

units as it sees necessary to meet the Agency’s mission and goals through out the life of the

contract.
