HHSC PCS is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for the GT-Fast Prep ARTIC SARS-CoV-2 Library Preparation Kit molecular reagent kit which contains all primers and reagents for the amplification and downstream preparation of SARS-CoV-2 gRNA extracted from wastewater matrices. The DSHS Lab conducts periodically Wastewater testing to identify positive detects from the environmental 2 weeks before clinical cases are identified, allowing time for epidemiologists to prepare for outbreak responses.
