Sealed bids for providing and the installation of Batting Cage Carpet/Turf at the Hart County
Recreation and Sports Complex Batting Cages, located at 1277 Elberton Hwy., Hartwell, GA
30643, subject to the conditions and provisions set forth in the attached bid package will be
received at the Hart County Board of Commissioners office until Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 3:00
PM. The commodities and/or services must be furnished as described and specified in this package.
Bids must be received either via mail or hand delivered in a sealed envelope. Faxed or emailed
bids cannot be accepted.

By executing this affidavit, the undersigned contractor verified its compliance with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91, stating

Commissioners has registered with and is participating in a federal work authorization program* [any of the electronic
verification of work authorization programs operated by the United State Department of Homeland Security or any
equivalent federal work authorization program operated by the United States Department of Homeland Security to
verify information of newly hired employees, pursuant to the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA),

SCOPE OF WORK:
The Hart County Board of Commissioners is seeking vendors to provide and install sports turf /
cage turf in our batting cages at the Hart County Sports & Recreation Complex at 1277 Elberton
Hwy.
EQUIPMENT TO BE FURNISHED:
Carpet/Turf to be furnished consists of items and specifications listed below. The County desires
this carpet/turf to be installed per manufacturer specifications. Any product/item that has been
mistakenly omitted (errors & omissions) for the successful installation of this product/s must be
itemized in advance of installation. Contractors must identify their agreement to do so by checking
the appropriate box in the Pricing Section.
1. Sports Turf or Cage Turf, 32 oz. Nylon, short pile, 5 mm padded backing, Green in color.
Made for use with athletic cleats.
2. The batting cage surface is approximately 120 feet X 35 feet. It will be up to the bidder to
measure the surface to verify these dimensions.
3. The concrete surface shall be cleaned and prepared to allow for maximum adhesion of the
carpet/turf to the surface.
4. Manufacturer recommended adhesive will be used to adhere the carpet/turf to the batting
cage concrete floor.
5. Carpet/turf should be installed to the edge of the concrete pad end to end and from side to
side to the structure metal frame.
6. Lite duty galvanized 2 inch angel metal will be bolted or screwed into concrete anchors in
the side and top of the concrete pad after the carpet has been installed. The concrete anchors
should be installed prior to the carpet installation. The galvanized 2 inch angel metal
corners should be cut at a 45 degree angle to meet. The corner edges should be smooth of
any sharp edges for safety. Screws or bolts are to be installed every 2 feet on the top and
side of the metal. The screws or bolts will be ½ inch x 2 inches in length.
7. The Recreation Director will be available for further directions with this specification during
the installation.
8. A turf sample must be provided with the bid to be considered for this project.

Hart County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, further negotiate with one or more bidders,
and, waive any technicalities or informalities if it is deemed in the best interest of the County. Hart
