Stafford County is planning the construction of a prefabricated metal building at the Sheriffâs Departmentâs firearms training range located at the Countyâs commercial landfill. The building will primarily support law enforcement training activities and provide a sheltered space for deputies during outdoor range exercises. In addition to general equipment storage, the facility will include a space where briefings or board-based instruction can occur before field exercises. A Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) will also be stored inside. The building will require two standard entry doors for personnel access and two overhead doors to allow UTV entry. We are requesting a turnkey solution: the bid amount should include the building kit, erection, and foundation design and construction. Bid submission confirms the willingness to provide and obtain all necessary engineering and permitting. The county is seeking a site plan waiver but expects the contractor to manage all other necessary permitting for the project.
