Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District is planning the re-procurement of an indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) single-award delivery-order contract for sodium hypochlorite (12.5% Trade Strength) for the Washington Aqueduct Division (WAD) in Washington, D.C. Attached is a draft statement of work (SOW).The Washington Aqueduct supplies potable water to approximately one million people in the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia. As part of the water treatment and supply system, the Washington Aqueduct maintains and operates the Dalecarlia and McMillan Water Treatment Plants (WTPs), both of which utilize Sodium Hypochlorite in their operations.Sodium Hypochlorite shall conform to the requirements of ANSI/AWWA Standard B300, latest revision and shall be certified to meet NSF/ANSI Standard 60. Estimated maximum annual quantity of 1,100 tons (Dalecarlia WTP) and 900 tons (McMillan WTP) as Free Available Chlorine during the entire period of performance. Maximum total contract capacity not to exceed 10,000 tons over five- year contract duration. This is a synopsis of the requirement ONLY. The Government is exploring the use of a reverse auction as a procurement method for acquiring this product. An official Request for Proposal (RFP) is anticipated to be posted in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) on or around February 23, 2026.
