Dingman Pit #5 Gravel Crushing which includes the crushing, screening and stockpiling of gravel from piled pit run in the following quantities and sizes:

85,000 cubic meters – Modified Specification 4:20 Gravel

Additional Requirements

SAFETY QUALIFICATIONS

Contracts will only be awarded to Contractors who, prior to the time fixed for receiving tenders, possess a Certificate of Recognition (COR) which is relevant to their industry and which is recognized by Alberta Human Resources and Employment, Workplace Health and Safety.

Contractors are advised that a pre-tender meeting on September 9th/2026 at 11:00AM is mandatory to bid on the project.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

It is mandatory that the Contractor secure and maintain such insurance as will protect himself, his employees and the County from claims for death, bodily injury, or property damage. The following is the minimum insurance coverage required:

a) Worker's Compensation - as required by the laws of the Province of Alberta.
b) Public Liability or Property Damage - $5,000,000.00.
c) Automobile Public Liability or Property Damage - $5,000,000.00.
d) Commercial General Liability - $5,000,000.00

Submission Details

Bidders may submit Tenders only up to 2:00:00 p.m. local time on September 17, 2026.

Bidders must submit Tenders on the forms issued with this Tender Document.

It shall be the Bidder’s responsibility to confirm with the County that its bid has been received prior to Tender closing.

When submitting a Tender, all pages under Schedule “C” – Tender Documents and all Addenda issued by the County must be submitted, in a sealed envelope marked, "DINGMAN PIT #5 GRAVEL CRUSHING - Contract 2026-GC02", at the above- noted address.

A Bidder must indicate its name and address clearly in the upper left-hand corner of the envelope so that the Tender submission can be identified.

Tenders will be opened in a public meeting at 2:01:00 p.m. at the Camrose County office in the meeting room.

Question Submission Details

Questions will be answered at the pre-tender meeting and site details will be discussed with attendees. Any additional questions must be submitted by September 15, 2026.

Bid Security

The bid bond accompanying the Tender, in the amount of 10% of the Tender and made out to
Camrose County, must be signed and sealed, by both the Bidder or his authorized representative, and the Bonding Company. If a certified cheque or bank draft is used in lieu of a bid bond, it shall be made payable to the “Camrose County”. Omission of the certified cheque or bid bond shall invalidate the tender and shall be cause for rejection of the bid.

Information Session Details

A pre-Tender meeting will be held September 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Dingman Pit #5. Attendance to this meeting is MANDATORY for prospective bidders. A signed attendance will be taken at the meeting, and failure to attend this meeting will be cause for the rejection of a tender. The pit entrance is 1.1km South of Township Road 450 on the West side of Highway 56. (16.3km south of the intersection of Highway 13 and 56).
