Description: The Project consists generally of the following major items: The project includes asphalt and concrete pavement, sidewalk and multi-use path, retaining walls, culvert, storm drainage, erosion control, utility relocations, pavement markings, signing, traffic signals, conduit and fiber, traffic control, landscaping, and other miscellaneous items. Prominent changes from the August 2024 Advertisement consists generally of the following: 1. Construction Packages by Area. This will be the 2nd of 3 anticipated construction packages. 2. Extended Construction Contract Time for Area 2 to 42 months. 3. Reduced Liquidated Damages. 4. Reduced DBE percent from 13% to 8%. 5. Removed conflicting specifications. NCDOT Specifications will be the leading specification. 6. Advanced Utility By Other construction and joint Owner utility coordination for construction. 7. Includes items for non-standard excavation and removal for example rock, cobble stone, and streetcar tracks.
