Project Description: Sealed proposals for the Oaklyn Elementary School Re-Roofing Project REBID located at the Oaklyn Elementary School within the Shikellamy School District, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, will be received online via the PennBid Program (www.pennbid.net) by the Shikellamy School District until 2:00 PM prevailing time on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
Sealed paper bids will be accepted as an alternative to the online PennBid Program. Sealed paper bids will be received via hand delivery or shipped to Brian Manning, Business Manager, no later than 2:00 PM prevailing time on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, to the Shikellamy School District Administration Building, Island Park Administration Center, 200 Island Blvd., Sunbury, PA 17801, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read.
There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting held at the Oaklyn Elementary School, 115 Oak Street, Sunbury, PA 17801 at 4:00 PM prevailing time on Thursday, February 27, 2025. All attendees must check in as a visitor at the Oaklyn Elementary School Office upon arrival. Attendance of all Prime Contract Bidders is mandatory.
BIDS ARE INVITED ON A LUMP SUM BASIS FOR THE FOLLOWING CONTRACTS:

In order to bid the Project, prospective Bidders can obtain documents online at no cost at PennBid (www.pennbid.net) or obtaining Contract Documents in PDF format upon request to Schradergroup architecture, LLC (bgood@sgarc.com) for a non-refundable cost of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00). Checks shall be made payable to “Schradergroup architecture, LLC.” Documents will be sent electronically after receipt of payment. Bidders must supply the following information with their request for documents: which contract(s) you are bidding, company name, contact person, complete address, phone number, and email address.
Bid documents will be available beginning Monday, February 24, 2025.
This project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 (Act No. 442), as amended and supplemented, and reference is made to the prevailing minimum wage rates applicable to this project which have been promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry. Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Labor and Materialman’s Bonds are also required.
Bidders shall refer to provisions of the Federal and State statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and the preservation of the public natural resources that affect the project; said statement of provisions being submitted, as part of the specifications, pursuant to Section 3301 of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Procurement Code, 62 Pa.C.S. § 3301.
Bids shall conform to all requirements as more fully set forth in the Bid Documents, including, inter alia, compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof or items therein and to waive technicalities as it deems best to protect its interest.
