WVIA Parking Lot Expansion

Project Description: The WVIA is soliciting a qualified General Contractor for the expansion of its parking lot, with new site drainage, site lighting, and EV chargers. Bids must be submitted electronically via PennBid no later than 4:00 p.m. on July 1, 2026, after which bids will be opened privately, but total Lump Sum amounts will be publicly available after internal review. Prospective bidders are requested to attend a non-mandatory prebid meeting and site walkthrough on June 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at 100 WVIA Way, Pittston, PA 18640. The architect will respond to Bidders’ questions received until June 24, 2026.
The project consists of demolishing/milling existing bituminous pavement, regrading area for new parking lot, overlaying existing parking lot with new pavement, excavating areas for site drainage and a bioretention basin, providing new concrete walkways, and providing new site lighting and EV charging stations.
The project is partially funded by the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP).
