MONROE COUNTY'S 2026 FULL DEPTH RECLAMATION CONTRACT
MONROE COUNTY, GEORGIA
Sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary for the
construction of Monroe County's 2026 Full Depth Reclamation of Various Roads Contract will be
received by the Monroe County Board of Commissioners at the office of the County's Purchasing
Agent until 10:00 A.M. local time, on May 1, 2026, and then at said office publicly opened and read
aloud.
The Project consists of reconstruction of various County roads with cementitious full depth
reclamation, bituminous prime coat, single bituminous surface treatment and traffic control in strict
conformance to the 2021 Edition of the Standard Specifications of the Georgia Department of
Transportation. Bituminous Escalations will not apply to this contract.
The Completion Date for this project is September 30, 2026. Liquidated damages will be assessed as
outlined in the GDOT Standard Specifications, for each day the work extends beyond the Completion
Date.
The work in the Contract will be awarded based on the total sum bid.
All potential Bidders must be prequalified with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
The Instructions to Bidders, Contract Agreement, Specifications and forms of Bid Bond, Performance
Bond, and Payment Bond and other Contract Documents may be examined at the office of the Monroe
County's Public Works Director, 515 Montpelier Ave., Forsyth, GA 31029, Phone: 478-994-7029,
Email: kstokes@monroecoga.org.
Bidding and Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of the County's Public Works Director
without charge. The bidder's street address must be provided to ensure prompt delivery.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, prepared on the form of Bid Bond attached to the
Contract Documents, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety
company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury
Circular 570, in the amount of 10 percent of the Bid.
The successful Bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond
and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid.
All anticipated easements and rights-of-way are expected to be acquired prior to commencement of
construction activities.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise.
