INVITATION FOR BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois that sealed bids will be received for the following contract:
FISCAL 2027 SIDEWALK AND CURB RESTORATION PROGRAM
(SIDEWALK REPAIRS AND UTILITY RESTORATIONS)
Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the office of the Director of Public Works, Village of Park Forest, 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, Illinois, and will be publicly opened and read at that time. Bid forms and specifications are available at the office of the Director of Public Works, Village of Park Forest, 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, Illinois. This work consists of:
All mobilization, excavation, material, labor, equipment, traffic control, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace substandard sidewalk and curb and replace sidewalk, curb, and concrete driveway aprons for utility repair restoration. Contract runs July 1

, 2027 as a Maintenance Contract. Awarded contractor will be requested to schedule work after 40 C.Y. of volume is obtained, or approximately 3 mobilizations over the course of the contract.
The Village reserves the right to refuse to issue plans, bid forms, and specifications to any person,
firm, or corporation that it considers to be unqualified. Proposals must be submitted on the forms
provided. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Mayor and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest. The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any
or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids, and to make such award as it may
deem to be in the best interest of the Village.
The contractor shall be required to furnish sufficient insurance and guaranty of indemnity to the Village of Park Forest, Illinois against any and all claims which might arise for damages to persons or property due to the negligence of himself, his employees, or his agents during the construction of said improvement and until said improvement has been fully accepted as complete by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest.
This contract is subject to prevailing wage requirements. No less than the prevailing wage as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to any worker performing work under this contract.
