Overview

Summary

As a Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HGMP) project, the grant funding provides for wind protection project for traffic lights at nine (9) intersections located in Pinellas County, Florida. The HMGP project scope of work proposes to upgrade the existing span wires with mast arms rated for hurricane wind and rated for large and small impact resistance per Florida Building Code. Protection shall be afforded to the traffic signals by the increased strength of the mast arm structure. The construction project involves the installation of mast arms and a traffic controller cabinet, please see Appendix 6 - Work Order Project List and Project Location Map for the nine (9) intersection locations. Additional improvements include ADA upgrades and minor resurfacing.
