Project Description: Montgomery County PA on behalf of the SEPA RTF is seeking proposals for the delivery of the FEMA Curriculum Equivalent Structural Collapse Specialist class” w/ NFPA 1006 Collapse Certification. The following is an overview: The Structural Collapse Specialist course is a 80-hour, 8 day course designed to give each student extensive didactic exposure to theory and principles of collapses as well as robust hands on practical applications of how to mitigate all types of collapses in all types of buildings. The training meets and exceeds NFPA standards Chapter 6 of 1670 and Chapter 9 of 1006 for Technician or Level II training. We plan to conduct the course Fridays through Sundays during the months of April and May 2025 to allow volunteer members to participate in the training.
