Industrial SATO Laser Printer for Collin County Elections

Collin County Elections department is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the replacement of the County's Microplex F34 printers with an industrial SATO laser printer, model LP 100R.

Collin County Elections department currently owns two (2) Microplex F34 laser printers, purchased in 2016, for the printing of voter registration certificates that contain variable voter registration data and barcodes. To improve the County's accuracy, efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulations, the Elections department would like to replace one (1) Microplex printer immediately, with the replacement of the 2nd printer in 2027.

Voter Registration data is maintained in a system called Voter Focus, Voter Registration and Elections Management System, provided by VR Systems, Inc. This system holds, besides the records of each individual registered voter, the definitions of the districts, precincts, polling places and ballot types amongst other information. Data needed to create the voter registration certificate is extracted in text files. The requested laser printer will need to be configurable to use this extracted data to print the voter registration certificate.
