NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland are soliciting bids for the project:

PUBLIC WORKS CLEAN CONSTRUCTION WASTE DISPOSAL STUDY
CITY PROJECT NO. 2025-09-MISC

Completed bids shall be submitted to the City of Cumberland’s online solicitation website, until but not after 2:00 p.m., local time, on 4/16/2025.  All bids will be virtually released at 2:00 p.m. on that date and available to view on the website. Released bid information does not constitute any award has been made.

Project description:

This project includes reviewing City of Cumberland Public Works disposal of clean construction waste (uncontaminated soil, rock, stone, gravel, brick and block, concrete, and used asphalt). The selected firm shall perform the following items:

  1. Review current disposal operations, including current and projected future annual tonnage.
  2. Determine possible disposal sites within City-owned property.
  3. Determine possible disposal sites on private property.
  4. Provide a minimum of three alternatives for a long term (min. 10 year) construction waste disposal plan, including a detailed cost analysis of each option.

These items will be reviewed for the purposes of providing the City recommendations for the future clean construction waste disposal operations within the Public Works Division.

A "Mandatory PREBID SESSION” for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions of parties interested in performing the work, relative to construction details, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on 4/2/25 at the Public Safety Building. 20 Bedford St., Room 336, Cumberland, MD.

The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.
