Overview

Summary

General work description:

The work included under this bid shall consist of furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, testing, documentation, and incidentals necessary to complete the installation of a new golf course irrigation system at Florissant Golf Club in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

The project generally includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Installation of a complete new Rain Bird Integrated Control (“IC”) irrigation system throughout the golf course property.
  • Installation of new HDPE mainline and lateral piping systems, including all required fittings, fusion work, isolation valves, drains, air/vacuum relief valves, valve boxes, swing joints, quick couplers, grounding components, and related appurtenances.
  • Installation of Rain Bird IC sprinkler heads for greens, tees, fairways, and perimeter areas as identified in the plans and specifications.
  • Installation of Rain Bird CirrusPro Central Control System, integrated control interface equipment, surge protection devices, rain shutdown components, Maxi wire communication cable, grounding systems, and all associated electrical and communication components.
  • Removal and disposal of existing irrigation components as required to facilitate installation of the new system.
  • Trenching, vibratory plowing, boring, bridge crossings, backfilling, compaction, sod replacement, restoration, cleanup, and repair of disturbed areas.
  • Maintenance of operation of the existing irrigation system during construction as required by the Golf Course Superintendent.
  • Coordination of construction sequencing to maintain golf course operations, including keeping all but one hole open during construction and completing each hole before proceeding to the next.
  • Field coordination with staking provided by the Designer and preparation of complete as-built documentation identifying pipe routing, wiring, valves, splices, control components, and related infrastructure.
  • Testing, startup assistance, flushing, grounding verification, and final operational testing of the irrigation and IC control systems in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and project specifications.
  • Provision of warranties, guarantees, spare equipment, training coordination, and post-installation support as specified in the contract documents.

The Contractor shall perform all work in compliance with prevailing wage requirements, OSHA regulations, Missouri Division of Labor Standards requirements, applicable utility coordination requirements, and all local, state, and manufacturer installation standards.

The Contractor shall be responsible for protecting existing utilities, golf course improvements, pavements, drainage structures, and landscaping during construction and shall restore all disturbed areas to the satisfaction of the Owner.

All materials shall be new and installed in strict accordance with the irrigation plans and specifications. No substitutions shall be permitted unless approved in writing by the Owner and Designer.

Project Schedule:

  • Project Start Date: January 2, 2027
  • Substantial Completion Date: April 30, 2027

The Contractor shall provide sufficient manpower, supervision, equipment, and scheduling coordination necessary to achieve project completion within the specified timeframe while maintaining golf course operations as required by the Owner.

The Contract Time is based on normal seasonal weather conditions reasonably anticipated for the project location. The Contractor may request a time extension for delays resulting from unusually severe weather conditions that prevent the performance of critical path work. Requests for weather-related extensions shall be submitted in writing and supported by documentation identifying the dates, duration, and impact of the weather event on project activities. Upon verification by the Owner, the Contract Completion Date may be extended on a day-for-day basis for approved weather delay days
