Description
The object of this renovation is for University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) to create a nursing simulation space where students will develop clinical skills and workflows commonly encountered in the nursing profession. To enhance teaching and learning, the lab will be equipped with AV technology (NIC) so practical patient-nurse interactions and scenarios can be practiced, recorded and debriefed. The lab will also house hi-fidelity simulation mannequins (NIC) which are controlled remotely. The lab will is be called “EL Lab” which stands for Experiential Learning Lab. This renovation will take place in the main building (A Building) on the Chilliwack Campus of University of the Fraser Valley. This project will require significant trade coordination, timely ordering of materials, and an understanding of the existing arrangement of building services and tie-in locations. The renovation area is approximately 240 square metres.
