RFQ-26-180 Professional Design Services for 40th Street: Avenue 6E to 7E

Project Description: This project will construct a new segment of 40th Street from Avenue 6E to Avenue 7E to a Minor Arterial roadway per COY Standard No. 2-015 configuration having four travel lanes. Left and right turn lanes to be included where necessary. Curb, gutter and sidewalk will be included except that sidewalk will be omitted on the north side of 40th Street. The work will include a 10’ wide multi-use path (MUP) on the north side of 40th Street. Infrastructure work will include grading, drainage, paving, raised median, traffic signals at Avenue 6E and, 7E with an at-grade signalized intersection at State Route 195, lighting and Arizona Public Service power service(s).
The City has added the preliminary Design Concept Report (DCR), Traffic Analysis, Environmental Considerations and draft 15% plans with this solicitation. The project is currently scheduled to be advertised for construction Fiscal Year 2028.
