Overgrown vegetation may reduce visibility, impede access, jeopardize public safety and cause operational interruptions. Annual ROW maintenance not only fulfills legal and regulatory obligations but also preserves the integrity of critical services. Aiken County seeks a partner with proven expertise and a strong track record in ROW stewardship who can ensure work is performed to the highest professional standards.

Qualifications:
Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Relevant experience and qualifications of the contractor and assigned personnel.
Proposed equipment to be used for ROW cutting and vegetation management.
Cost competitiveness.
Quality of references and historical performance.
Compliance with all RFP requirements and submission of all requested forms and documents.
Special Requirements:
Specialized equipment will be needed to perform the duties that this RFP requires. Small landscaping companies that do not have such equipment will not be considered. We will not let the awarded vendor sub-contract the work out.

The Aiken County Horse creek Wastewater treatment facility is requesting for proposal (RFP) invites
for qualified contractors to submit proposals for right of way (ROW) cutting and vegetation
management services. Contract renewal or extension mat be considered at the discretion of Aiken
County.
Effective management of ROW is essential for the safe and uninterrupted operation of public
infrastructure. Overgrown vegetation may reduce visibility, impede access, jeopardize public
safety and cause operational interruptions. Annual ROW maintenance not only fulfills legal and
regulatory obligations but also preserves the integrity of critical services. Aiken County seeks a
partner with proven expertise and a strong track record in ROW stewardship who can ensure work
is performed to the highest professional standards.
Scope of work:
The successful contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, materials and
technical knowledge necessary for comprehensive ROW cutting and vegetation control. The scope
of work includes, but not limited to, the following services:
* Cutting, mowing, trimming, and removal of brush, trees, weeds and other vegetation within
defined ROW areas.
* Proper disposal of all cut material, in full compliance with environmental and legal
guidelines.
* Maintaining clear and safe passage for vehicles, maintenance equipment and personnel
when possible.
* Identifying and mitigating hazardous trees or limbs that may compromise safety or
infrastructure.
* Utilizing best operational practices to minimize impact on adjacent properties and sensitive
environments.
* Coordinating project schedules and site access with Aiken County.
* Licenses and Certifications: Documentation of all current licenses and professional
qualifications.
Contract terms and conditions
The final scope of services, payment terms and performance requirements will be specified in the
contract executed with the selected contractor. Key terms include:
* Performance in accordance with industry best practices and all applicable legal
requirements.
* Maintenance of required insurance for the contract duration and provide documentation
upon request.
* Ensuring all personnel are properly trained and equipped with necessary professional
protective equipment (PPE).
* Provision of payment only upon satisfactory completion and verification of services.
* Non-performance of safety violations mat result in penalties or termination.
