Description

Introduction: The United States Air Force, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, in support of the Sentinel Program, is conducting market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 to identify potential sources that possess the expertise and the capabilities to provide an impact scoring system to determine the precise time and position of reentry vehicle (RV) impact at the ocean surface or height and position if an air burst termination is selected. The impact scoring system should have a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) between 6 and 9. It should be mature with little need for capability development.



The Statement of Objectives and the Requested Information Form must be requested. Interested parties will request the documents below.



This Request for Information is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Quote/Invitation for Bid/Request for Proposal or a promise to issue a Request for Quote/Invitation for Bid/Request for Proposal in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the Government is not seeking quotes, bids, or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this notice. The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future Request for Quote/Invitation for Bid/Request for Proposal if any issued. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the Governmentwide Point of Entry for additional information pertaining to this requirement.



Submission Instructions: Interested parties are invited to submit responses via the Requested Information Form PDF which must be requested.



Responses will be treated as information only. Do not include classified information. Provide responses below and return the PDF to myla.andersen.1@us.af.mil and brevin.schade@us.af.mil with the subject line: HSSISS Requested Information Submission. Responses may be submitted in other formats, not greater than 10 pages, but should contain the minimum requested information contained herein and should be sent as a PDF.



The Government reserves the right to ask follow-up questions to individual companies based on information submitted without posting those questions to SAM.gov.



Responses will be considered proprietary.



The Government will utilize Contracted non-Government personnel to review responses to this RFI. These personnel hold NDA’s for this defense program.
