NOTICE INVITING BIDS

for COMMERCIAL HANGAR DEVELOPMENT

The City of Safford (City) hereby invites the submission of sealed Bids from properly licensed Contractors to construct a commercial hangar with living quarters. Construction will take place within the Safford Airport at 4570 E. Aviation Way, Safford, AZ 85546. Council approval of award is expected in April, with a May 4 ^th start date for construction. Substantial Completion for this Project is expected to take 230 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Bidders shall seal and deliver their Bids by 2:00 PM local time, Thursday, March 26, 2026, to the City Clerk’s office at 717 W. Main St., Safford, AZ 85546, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All Bids must include a bid bond for 10% of the total Bid amount including all alternates, and all Bids must be plainly marked on the outermost packaging with “Attention: Sealed Bid – #AP2504,” and shall indicate the company name and address of the Bidder and Bid closing date and time. Any Bids received after 2:00 PM on the above stated date will be returned unopened. There will be no pre-Bid conference for this project. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to withhold the award for any reason the City determines. The City also reserves its right to hold any or all Bids for sixty (60) days after the Bid opening date and will not allow withdrawal of Bids during those sixty (60) days.
