Description:

General Construction Contract D006340: This project includes the demolition of an existing one-story trailer, the construction of a slab with ramp and stair entry, a one-story restroom building, a one-story laundry building (with associated spaces) in the same general location, a privacy fence between the two buildings, and canopy. The slab area includes an area for outdoor rinsing, and area for picnic tables. The two buildings are designed to be factory-manufactured units that will be provided and installed by the general contractor. Alternate 1: The construction of a second one-story restroom building (with associated spaces) in the same general location. The building is designated to be factory-manufactured unit that will be provided and installed by the general contractor. Alternate 2: Repaving of adjacent parking lot.

Estimated Range: $1,362,920.00 – $1,843,945.00

There will be a pre-bid meeting at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, located at the Hither Hills Main Parking Lot.

All Requests For Information (RFIs) are due by: 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

RFIs received after this due date and time will not be processed.

The completion date for this project is 450 Days after agreement has been approved by the NYS Comptroller’s Office. The Contractor is required to complete the on-site work within the months of November to March to limit the impact to the Parks' operation schedule during the off season.

PUBLIC BUILDING LAW § 8(6)

Pursuant to Public Building Law § 8(6), any contracts over $5,000 for the work of construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State building, a responsible and reliable NYS-certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise that submits a bid within ten percent of the lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder provided that the bid is $1,628,283 or less (maximum amount has been adjusted for inflation effective January 1, 2024). If more than one responsible and reliable MWBE firm meets the requirements, the MWBE firm with lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder.
