The training is designed to equip Marines with the critical tactics, techniques, and procedures necessary to effectively detect, mitigate, and counter emerging UAS threats encountered in combat environments. Force Reconnaissance units operate beyond the forward line of troops where enemy UAS platforms are prevalent, making proficiency in Counter-UAS operations essential to mission success and troop survivability. The requirement includes a five-day initial instruction period for up to twelve students which will occur September 12 – 15, followed by a full mission profile training exercise involving eighteen Marines and Sailors which will occur September 15 - 19, incorporating realistic role players, and a mobile command center.
