2023 Water Main Replacement Project 4 -2 sites(E Hildebrand & Camden & Euclid)

When Will Work Occur?
Expecting to Advertise in April 27, 2026 March 31, 2026 and Construction is currently scheduled to begin in 3rd Quarter 2026 mid-2026 . It will be procured by Request for Competitive Sealed Proposal method. The estimated construction duration is 14 months and the estimated construction cost is $10.2 million.

E Hildebrand Site

This project site will install approximately 13,300 feet of 8, 10, 12, 16, and 20-inch water main at three sites. One along Camden Street from the intersection with Seymour Street to N St. Mary’s Street. Another along E Euclid Ave from the intersection with N Main Ave to a point approximately 200 feet east of the intersection with McCullough Ave. And another along Hildebrand Ave and Old Hildebrand Ave from the intersection with McCullough Ave to Devine Road. This project is part of ongoing efforts to replace deteriorating water mains that have a history of multiple failures and a high probability of failure.

What to Expect – E Hildebrand Site

  • Open  cut  installation  of  approximately 4,500LF of HDPE water main up to 20-inch in diameter  at depths of 5 to 10 ft.
  • Trenchless installation of approximately 40LF of water main up to 20-inch in diameter at depths  up to 10 feet.
  • Installation  and  tie-ins/shutdowns  will require close coordination with the operators of the  SAWS Hildebrand Water Supply Tank.
  • Installation  and  tie-ins/shutdowns  will require  close  coordination  with  Trinity University and businesses and residents in the project area.

Camden & Euclid Sites

These project sites will install approximately 13,300 feet of 8, 10, 12, 16, and 20-inch water main at three sites. One along Camden Street from the intersection with Seymour Street to N St. Mary’s Street. Another along E Euclid Ave from the intersection with N Main Ave to a point approximately 200 feet east of the intersection with McCullough Ave. And another along Hildebrand Ave and Old Hildebrand Ave from the intersection with McCullough Ave to Devine Road. This project is part of ongoing efforts to replace deteriorating water mains that have a history of multiple failures and a high probability of failure.

What to Expect – Camden & Euclid Sites

  • Open  cut  installation  of  approximately 8,700LF of HDPE water main up to 12-inch in diameter at depths up to 16 feet.
  • Trenchless  installation  of  approximately 160LF of water main up to 12-inch in diameter at depths up to 16 feet.
  • Installation  and  tie-ins/shutdowns  will require close coordination with the Baptist Hospital and other medical service providers in the project area.
  • Installation  and  tie-ins/shutdowns  will require close coordination with businesses and residents in the project area
