Clayton Street, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046 until 10:00 A.M. local time on Thursday, March 26, 2026 and then publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after 10:00 A.M will not be accepted. Bid envelope should be marked on the outside with Bid Number, name of Bidder, date and time of opening. LAWRENCEVILLE GATEWAY TRAIL TRAILHEAD
SB021-26
The City of Lawrenceville is soliciting competitive sealed bids from Contractors for the
LAWRENCEVILLE GATEWAY TRAIL TRAILHEAD. Sealed bids will be received by the
Lawrenceville Purchasing Office, 70 S. Clayton Street, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046 until 10:00 A.M.
local time on Thursday, March 26, 2026 and then publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after
10:00 A.M will not be accepted. Bid envelope should be marked on the outside with Bid Number, name of
Bidder, date and time of opening.
The work to be performed by the General Contractor consist of but is not limited to the following major
items:
EROSION CONTROL BMP’s including construction exit, silt fence, concrete washout area,
mulching,and inlet sediment trap.
DEMOLITION including kudzu eradication in the immediate work area, relocation of a water
meter, and removal of curb and gutter.
SITE WORK, EARTH WORK including the excavation and fine grading of the site to level out
to accommodate a driveway, parking lot, pedestrian plaza, and trail.
STONE MASONRY including the installation granite rubble seating walls around the perimeter
of the plaza, and thin granite veneer on the monument sign.
BRICK MASONRY including the installation of brick pavers and mortar on the pedestrian plaza,
and the installation of truncated dome brick pavers at ADA ramps.
CAST IN PLACE CONCRETE includes the installation of a 24” curb and gutter, sidewalks,
walkways and bike rack pads from parking lot to trail and plaza, 8” wide banding around plaza and
planter areas, and concrete base under the brick and mortar plaza surface.
JOINT SEALANT includind sealing the joints between existing seating, sign, and plaza.
STORM DRAIN STRUCTURES includes installation of tranch drains with grates on trail and
walkway, and 18” to 60” HDPE and structures. The 60” HDPE is a storm water management
storage device with a baffled outlet structure.
SIGNAGE including a stop sign, city wayfinding sign, ADA parking sign, and a custom monument
sign.
SIGNANGE, MONUMENT includes the installation of a custom trailhead monument sign that is
constructed of reinforced CMU base clad in thin stone granite, hollow steel tube roof supports,
large timber vertical and horizontal members, fastened with custom steel and aluminum hardware,
a standing seam metal roof and Epicore ceiling, foam core sign “cabinets” with vector work
showing City logos and trail maps, and roof-mounted flood light.
STRIPING (THERMO) including thermoplastic striping of parking spaces, ADA hashing and
symbol, stop bar, and pedestrian crosswalk.
SITE LIGHTING AND BURIED ELECTRICAL including the installation of parking lot
lighting, pedestrian lighting, inset seat lighting, monument sign floodlight lighting, and the
installation of a utility rack, transformer, and electric meter. This also includes running all conduit
and lines/wires and coordinating with Jackson EMC for electrical hook up to underground electrical
system.
ASPHALT including the installation of a driveway and parking lot and a 10’ wide pedetrian trail.
