Introduction & Background:
The Pantex Plant is located just east of Amarillo, Texas. It is a Department of Energy (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) national security site seeking services to assist in maintaining a program for compliance in waste management, enhancing existing operations, and providing defensible positions and documentation.
General Scope Description:
The scope of this SOW will require the seller to perform compliance assessments of site procedures related to multiple DOE Orders including DOE Order 460.1 D and 461.1-1, involving transportation requirements and site packaging processes. The waste management support functions shall provide technical support and recommendations to ensure the Pantex Plant maintains a cost-efficient program of known and defensible compliance. This includes performing systematic reviews of all aspects of the program including requirements under TCEQ Hazardous Waste Permit No. HW-50284 as well as requirements from 49 CFR Parts 100- 185, and 40 CFR 268 - 280.
Work will be performed onsite, with necessary equipment being provided.
