The 928th Contracting Battalion, 409th Contracting Support Brigade, intends to issue a solicitation for Maintenance and Repair Work at Refuse Shredder in support of USAG Bavaria located in Grafenwoehr, Germany. This requirement will be solicited as a full and open competition under NAICS 811310. The forthcoming solicitation will be issued under FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.5 procedures, as applicable. The Government anticipates releasing the solicitation on or about 14 January 2026 and closing it on 31 January 2026, following the required pre-solicitation posting period in accordance with FAR 5.203.
This requirement is for non-personal services to provide preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair of permanently installed refuse shredders and associated stationary processing equipment at U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Bavaria, Tower Barracks, Grafenwöhr, Germany. Services will include routine scheduled maintenance, corrective repairs, and emergency on-call support to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operation of the equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable safety standards.
The primary objective of this requirement is to maintain operational readiness of refuse processing equipment critical to installation waste management operations while minimizing downtime and mission disruption. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, tools, materials, and technical expertise, coordinating closely with Government representatives to ensure timely response and effective execution of maintenance and repair actions.
Key factors for successful performance include demonstrated technical capability with industrial shredding equipment, the ability to respond promptly to service calls, compliance with U.S. Army and host-nation safety and environmental requirements, and proven experience performing similar maintenance and repair services. The Government seeks solutions that emphasize reliability, efficiency, and quality workmanship in support of USAG Bavaria’s installation sustainment mission.
