252826 - 252826 Sewer Investigation Rebid

Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Sandersville, Georgia at the Sandersville City Hall, P.O. Box 71 or 141 West Haynes Street, Sandersville, Georgia 31082 until 2:00 p.m. local time, Monday, October 6, 2025, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read.  No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.

“Utility Contractors License is not required for bidding. Any utility work performed on this contract must be performed by a contractor or sub contractor holding a valid State of Georgia Utility Contractors License and overseen by a state “Utility Manager.”

The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of:

Sewer investigation including 100 manhole inspections, manhole digital survey and 3D modeling, installation, connection, and subsequent removal of 100 sewer water level monitors, analysis and formal reporting.  Time allotted for construction is 150 consecutive calendar days.

Proposals for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the proposal form provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on.

All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the City of Sandersville, Georgia, in the amount of at least 5% of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract as approved by the Attorney for the City of Sandersville, Georgia.  The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Sandersville, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract within 10 days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract.

Specifications are open to public inspection at the office of the City of Sandersville, Georgia and at the offices of Turnipseed Engineers in Atlanta and Augusta, Georgia.

Specifications must be obtained at https://turnipseed.com/current-projects/out-for-bid/ .  A digital copy of the specifications as well as one (1) printed copy of the specifications will be provided upon receipt of $50.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
