Municipal District of Greenview No. 16

The intent of the RFP is to obtain Proposals for removal of sludge that has accumulated from both the anaerobic cells. The MD of Greenview is currently looking at options for direct land application (Option A), but is also open to the option of dewatering the effluent and resultant sludge using geotubes (Option B). If the geotube optioned is used the dewatered sludge would be disposed at the West Yellowhead Regional Landfill in 2026. Proponents may submit offers for either Option A or Option B, or for offers of both Option A and Option B.
The major components of the scope of work to be completed for this biosolids removal project includes the following:
Option A (Land Application)
•        Remove and dewater biosolids from both anaerobic cells;
•        Land application of biosolids on adjacent land (assume to be within 5 km of the lagoon site);
•        Immediate incorporation of biosolids into the receiving soil; and
•        Final reporting to environmental regulatory body (EPA)
Option B (Geotube and Landfill Disposal)
•        Remove and dewater biosolids from both anaerobic cells;
•        Transfer biosolids into a geotube to be located on land as designated by the MD (within 5 km of the lagoon site);
•        Remove and haul all dewatered material from the geotube to the West Yellowhead Regional Landfill in 2026 or other designated site; and
•        Final reporting to environmental regulatory body (EPA).
