and install erosion/sediment controls per the drawings .
• Base & Drainage: Place and compact a 6" untreated base course and install the specified
subsurface drainage system .
• Sand Surfacing: Furnish and spread washed, angular sand to a minimum 12" depth across
the court, meeting USAV competition standards.
• Edging & Containment: Install perimeter edging (For example, you may provide bid
estimates for either rubber or concrete options) to retain the sand layer.
• Net System & Posts: Provide and install volleyball posts, anchors, and net—fully
assembled and ready for play.
• Site Amenities & Restoration: Add two player benches on concrete pads, connect an ADAcompliant walkway to the existing path, and restore turf/landscaping in disturbed areas.
Project construction is anticipated to commence in August 2025.
Vineyard City is experiencing rapid residential growth and is committed to expanding its
recreational amenities to serve families, youth leagues, and casual park visitors alike. As part of
our 2025 Parks & Recreation Master Plan, we seek a turnkey solution for a regulation-size sand
volleyball court that will become a fun recreational area near the Utah Lake shoreline .
The selected contractor will work closely with our Parks & Recreation and Public Works teams to
deliver a facility that meets USA Volleyball (USAV) standards for competitive play, while also
ensuring ADA-compliant access, long-term durability in Utah’s climate, and minimal disruption to
the park’s existing irrigation, pathways, and landscaping.
