Ave 44 Bridge - Environmental Post Construction Monitoring
The City of Indio requests proposals from qualified consultants to perform long-term environmental monitoring as required by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) approved Habitat Mitigation and Monitoring Plan (HMMP) for the Avenue 44 Bridge over the
Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel Project. The project is located along Avenue 44 between Palo Verde Street and Aztec Street across the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel.
As part of the authorization to complete the work, the City entered into a Streambed Alteration Agreement (SAA), with CDFW which required the City to prepare an HMMP, that would describe the implementation of habitat restoration and invasive species control to mitigate for permanent and temporary impacts associated with the project improvements.
The project is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by June 2026.
Proposals shall be brief and relevant to the specific work required. Interested consultants shall submit a Statement of Qualifications including relevant experience, a staffing plan, the proposed scope of work, and a cost proposal. Proposal shall be emailed to Donn Uyeno, PE, Principal
Engineer, at: duyeno@indioca.gov, by 3:00 pm, February 23, 2026.
