ADVERTISEMENT TO BID

April 9, 2025

The Village of Grafton is soliciting Bids for the proposed trail development and related improvements at Blackhawk Valley Park. Bids will be received until 9:00 AM, May 8, 2025. Bids will be opened and read aloud.

PROJECT SCOPE:

The project scope includes but not limited to: demolition, clearing , earthwork, asphalt paving, fencing, retaining wall installation, landscaping, and site restoration.

BID SUBMITTAL:

Bids for "Blackhawk Valley Trail Expansion.” shall be submitted to the Village by the date and time specified. All bids shall be addressed to Chad Hoier, Director of Parks, 675 North Green Bay Road, Grafton, WI 53024, and shall be enclosed with the name and address of the bidder and the contract for which the bid is being submitted on the outside of the sealed envelope. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all Bids. The letting of the work described herein is subject to the provisions of Sections 61.54, 66.0901 and 66.09 03, Wisconsin Statutes.

BID DOCUMENT AVAILABILITY:

Specifications and contract documents may be downloaded from the Village of Grafton web site: https://www.villageofgraftonwi.gov/422/Project-Bids for no charge. Documents will be available for review only by appointment at the Village offices at 675 North Green Bay Road, Grafton, WI 53024

PRE-BID CONFERENCE:

There will be no pre-bid conference for this project. Contractor questions may be directed to Parkitecture + Planning, 608-203.8203.

QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS:

Bidders shall file Contractors Qualification Statement prior to bid opening. Contractors must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with municipal park projects, or similar experience. References listed must include contracts for similar municipal projects completed.

BID SECURITY:

A certified check, or satisfactory bid bond payable to the Village of Grafton in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent or more than ten (10%) percent of the bid shall accompany each bid as guarantee that if the bid is accepted the bidder will execute and file the Contract Performance Bond and Insurance Certificate as required by this contract within ten (10) days after Notice of Award of the Contract by the Village.

SCHEDULE:

Selection of final bid is at the sole discretion of the OWNER, and shall reserve the right to waive irregularities should it be needed. All Bids shall remain valid for 60 days after bid opening.
