RFP 2026-1000-0342 – Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) Development – MTNT Region

The State of Alaska, Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry & Fire Protection (DFFP), is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to develop a Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) for the MTNT Region, consisting of the communities of McGrath, Takotna, Nikolai, and Telida.

The resulting CWPP will identify wildfire risks and community vulnerabilities, prioritize fuels mitigation and wildfire preparedness projects, support coordination among communities and agency partners, and establish community-supported wildfire resilience priorities. The completed plan must meet applicable DFFP standards and federal guidance under the Healthy Forests Restoration Act (HFRA).

The State estimates the contract value to be between $100,000 and $200,000. Proposals exceeding $200,000 will be considered non-responsive. The anticipated contract term is approximately 18 months from the date of award through completion of the project.
