AMENDMENT 0001 issued to provide answers to questions submitted by interested vendor.
Q1. Approved Chemical List: Does the COR maintain a list of pre-approved herbicides and fertilizers?
A1. Maintained by Safety Officer, Boo Matthews (Safety and Occupational Health Specialist). The only stipulation for pesticide application is that all restricted use pesticides must be applied under the supervision of a certified pesticide applicator.
Q2. Biosecurity Protocol Details: For the Poultry Research Unit, what specific disinfectants are required for the tire cleaning, and is the cleaning expected to happen at the gate or at a specific wash station provided by the facility?
A2. Vendor will be responsible for spraying tires. Mower for sure, do not see a need to have a service truck on the poultry farm. But if it does will need to be sprayed.
Q3. Disposal Recommendations: Since the use of on-site government dumpers is prohibited and the contractor must dispose of debris at their own cost, are there local organic recycling or disposal facilities the government recommends for efficiency? A3. Waste Pro.
Q4. Brush Hogging Map: Can the government provide a map clearly delineating the boundaries of "Area C" (the natural areas) to ensure there is no confusion regarding which overgrown areas are the contractor's responsibility?
A4. Yes.
Q5. On-Site Storage: Is there a designated area where the contractorcan store a trailer, equipment, or supplies (like mulch and chemicals) between service visits, or must everything be transported to and from the site daily?
A5. Not site storage.
Q6. Annual Color Specifications: The SOW requires the purchase and planting of flowers twice a year at five specific locations . What is the expected quantity, pot size, and variety of flowers per planting cycle?
A6. Depends on the seasons. Bulb flowers are accepted also. You have to look at the area around the flagpole.
