Amendment No. 1
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION SHALL BE INCORPORATED AS PART OF THE
SOLICITATION MENTIONED ABOVE; ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS SHALL REMAIN
THE SAME.
THIS AMENDMENT IS TO EXTEND THE DEADLINE TO JUNE 25, 2026 @ 2:00 P.M. AND
UPDATE ADDRESS FOR THE PROJECT TO 1000-1046 AIRPORT BLVD, COLUMBIA, SC
29205.
THIS AMENDMENT IS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM OFFERORS.
Q1. Can the bid opening be pushed to a later date? At least to the 23rd?
A1. Yes, we will extend the date to June 25, 2025 @ 2:00 PM
Q2. Will there be any needed permits?
A2. No permits will be needed.
Q3. Is the award based on LOW BID or is it best value for the district and other items are factored in the decision?
A3. Refer to pg. 15 under section VI (Award Criteria), the award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible
offeror.
Q4. What is the desired color of the track to be? (Red and black are a standard color)
A4. Black or red is fine.
Q5. Once the bids are opened what is the intended Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed dates?
A5. Notice of Award and notice to proceed varies based on the evaluation and board approval process. The awarded
offeror will be contacted once the intent of award is issued.
Q6. Are the install and completion dates flexible? If sitework is needed there will be cure times of the asphalt.
A6. Yes the dates are flexible, we would like to have the project completed by October 1st or sooner.
Q7. Can a polyurethane be added as the bases of design for a basement/structural spray? This will be an overall better
system for safety and performance compared to a latex system.
A7. You are welcome to bid on what your company can provide. Refer pg 13 in the solicitation, an alternate product
may be proposed. Any proposed substitute needs to be equal to or better than the specified system in terms of
durability and overall performance and approved by the district technical representative.
Q8. Can the based latex system be removed as the product to be bid?
A8. No it can not be removed.
