The requirement is for a contract perform calibrations to meet minimum requirements as outlined in ISO/IEC 17025:2017. There are 115 single channel pipettes, 11 8-channel multi-channel pipettes, and 15 12-channel multi-channel pipettes. The service required will include preventative maintenance and repair then recording 4 “As Found” and 4 “As left” data points for each channel. The level 3 calibration may include: cleaning the piston, re-greasing, replacing the seal, replacing the o-ring, inspecting the body for damage, checking the plunger and ejector for smooth operation and then adjusting the pipette if necessary. A calibration sticker will be affixed on each pipette including an identified serial number, calibration date, and calibration expiration date. Test equipment used by the vendor must be calibrated and the calibration traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The vendor will provide a calibration certificate in digital format for each pipette., for Naval Medical Research Unit, San Antonio, TX. This will support NAMRU-SA research projects with marginal disruption. POP: FY 25 - FY 28; The anticipated period of performance is a base period of 12 months, with three option year renewals.
