Construction on Swift Current West Landfill Industrial Cell 2

The City of Swift Current (“the Owner”) requests a tender to complete the construction repair for Swift Current West Landfill - Industrial Cell 2. The construction of Industrial Cell 2 (IC2) will generally consist of landfill cell earthworks, geosynthetic liner system installation, and construction of associated site works including berms and ditches. The work is located approximately 8 km northwest of the City of Swift Current, Saskatchewan at S ½ -18-16-14 W3M.

A Mandatory Site Tour is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time, on August 12, 2025.

The work generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

Mobilization and demobilization of equipment to site.
Clearing and grubbing of vegetation from within the cell footprint.
Stripping of approximately 0.30 m of drainage aggregate from within the existing IC2 footprint, hauling and stockpiling of material to location as shown on the drawings.
Stripping of approximately 0.20 m of and from within the existing IC2 footprint, hauling and stockpiling of material to location as shown on the drawings.
Removal of existing leachate collection system pipe works within the existing IC2 footprint, and disposal on site.
Capping of existing leachate gravity main pipe.
Removal of existing liner system comprised of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) liner and geocomposite clay liner (GCL), and disposal on site.
Subgrade regrading and preparation of the existing IC2 footprint.
Excavation of perimeter anchor trench.
Supply and installation of GCL layer within IC2 area (including slopes).
Supply and installation of the geomembrane liner IC2 area (including slopes).

Supply and installation of the geocomposite drainage layer IC2 area (including slopes).

Backfill, compact and grade perimeter anchor trenches.
Supply and installation of the IC2 leachate collection system (including, but not limited to, excavation of trenches, supply and install of drainage aggregate, geotextile, piping, and pipe supports).

Surveying, as required for the completion of all portions of the Work, which must include a detailed as-built geodetic survey of the entire Work area and all the Work performed including the base of clay liner and top of clay liner. To be provided to and approved by Engineer as constr
