Description
The Daniel J. MacDonald building, which was built in the 1980’s is the head office for Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC). Home to over 900 employees, the building was in need of upgrades. The renovations will include adding a public museum space displaying art and artifacts about the contributions Veterans have made to Canada. Construction is in progress and is set to be completed in the spring of 2026.
The original intent of the museum space in the atrium of the building was one of sanctity and reflection for staff and visitors.
The renovation of the Daniel J. MacDonald building has given Veterans Affairs Canada an opportunity to re-think what we are doing with our collection.
VAC requires the services of a Contractor to review the existing art and artifact inventory, conduct a gap analysis based on designated themes, provide options and recommendations for the display of the current content and options and recommendations for future acquisitions.
The estimated contract period will be 7 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/11/12.
