Summary Details:
This Request for Quotations is an invitation by the District of Summerland to prospective Respondents to submit non-binding Quotations for the removal of ozone-depleting substances and other halocarbons from units containing these substances (i.e. dehumidifiers, refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioners, heat pumps, water coolers, etc.) at the Summerland Sanitary Landfill, as further described in the RFQ, Section 2 – Deliverables. Optionally, at the discretion of the District, the successful Respondent may be engaged for pressurized tank decommissioning services and other related innovative, alternative, or value-added services as per their quotation.

The Opportunity documents set out:

Submission of Quotations:
To be considered, Quotations must be submitted via bids&tenders electronic bid submission functionality or by email in accordance with the instructions in the RFQ. Quotations must be received no later than the Opportunity Closing Date & Time. It is solely the responsibility of the Respondent to ensure that the Quotation is received on time. There will be no public opening.
Term of Engagement:
The Agreement shall be valid for a period of two (2) years with the option to extend for three (3) additional years.
Conditions for Participation and Requirements to Request to Participate:
Quotations not clearly demonstrating that they meet the following mandatory criteria will be excluded from further consideration in the evaluation process.

Mandatory Criteria:

The Quotation must be received by the Closing Date & Time, in accordance with the requirements of Section 3.1 – Opportunity Schedule.
|

The Quotation must be submitted in accordance with the requirements of Section 3.9 – Submission of Quotations.
|
|

|
The Quotation must include all completed forms and tables in bids&tenders.
|
The Supplier shall provide the District with proof of the following prior to beginning work on this project:

A Business License that allows the Contractor to perform work in Summerland (either a Summerland Business License or an Inter-Community/Mobile Business License from another Okanagan-Similkameen municipality).

WorkSafeBC Clearance Letter addressed to the District of Summerland, indicating that account is active and in good standing.

Commercial General Liability Insurance coverage as per the requirements detailed in Appendix A – Form of Agreement.

Automobile Liability Insurance coverage as per the requirements detailed in Appendix A – Form of Agreement.
-
Pollution Liability insurance coverage as per the requirements detailed in Appendix A – Form of Agreement.

This procurement is subject to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement. Although the District of Summerland is subject to the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (Chapter Nineteen) and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (Chapter Five), this procurement is not expected to be within the scope of those agreements.
