▬
This project will construct a pipe and board structure to repair an erosion gully and restore lateral support to Vista Del Mar. The pipe and board structure will be constructed with approximately seven pipe and board walls that are 5 feet tall and range from 10 to 20 feet in length. The project will also remove an approximate 5-foot wide by 70-foot-long section of paving and curb and gutter that is damaged, and replace those areas with new AC paving and Type C integral curb and gutter. A 4-foot tall chain link fence will be constructed along the top of the pipe and board structure. A void behind the adjacent existing pipe and board extending under Vista Del Mar shall also be filled with slurry.
→ The Contractor shall perform work on or from Vista Del Mar. The #2 southbound lane is currently closed at the project site. Additional length of lane closure shall be minimized as much as possible to avoid further traffic impacts. No additional lane closures shall be permitted. Traffic Control shall be per the WATCH manual.
→ The soil at the site is sandy and is similar to beach sand.
