Job Title: Campus Center Ceilings Refurbishment

The following scopes of work is based of mandatory site walk observation and confirmation by the bidder.

• Confirm area of work at the mandatory bid walk and perform area take off and show in your cost breakdown
• Remove light fixture on concrete ceilings and metal ceilings in area of work
• Scrape and level concrete ceilings
• Remove bolts, fill / level holes
• Use appropriate filler at obvious other divots on concrete
• Use appropriate concrete paint, custom color TBD to be approved prior to purchase
• Install specified “Lumens” fixture 50009LEDD-BL/ACR 50009LEDD-WH/ACR or equal light fixture flush mount on concrete ceilings
• Install Armstrong “MetalWorks” ceiling system with “T-BAR LED” over metal ceilings – must be same to match existing adjacent ceiling.

Bids are to include all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform the work described above, including O.S.H.A. requirements for paint removal and paint / ventilation.

SCHEDULE:

Completion is to be before Mid-August 2025.

Contactor to provide preliminary schedule for lead time of all main materials with their bid.

The State University of New York at SUNY Old Westbury will receive sealed bids for project number #SOW060625 titled Campus Center Ceiling Refurbishment until 2pm local time on Tuesday, July 08, 2025 at SUNY Old Westbury, Campus Center, Rm H-311, 223 Store Hill Rd, Old Westbury, NY 11568, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A Mandatory Site Walkthrough will occur on Monday 06/16/2025 at 12:00pm meeting within Campus Center Atrium.

Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders.

It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.

The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

A Prevailing Wage Rate job and PRC#2025006809 will be assigned to this project.
